Art of Positive Living

The art of positive living is a process that heals and rejuvenates the body. The quality of our life is determined by our state of mind. Various Vedic practices of breathing and meditation aim to silence one's own inner self. With practice pran shakti (the vital power or source of life force)starts flowing all over the body which manifests in the form of vibration. The mind enters a thoughtless state marked by peace and tranquility. But the level of energy increases which strengthens the immune system of the body. In fact it can be effective in treatment of cancer and AIDS on the basis of natural healing abilities of immune system. Lifestyle factors like diet, emotional stress, nicotine,  caffeine , alcohol and exercise affect the heart cells. Thus your everyday life style choices affect your heart and health.

A person is a product of his thought and the thought process depends on our conditioning and what we see, eat and breathe. Thoughts are the seeds of our developing character. A positive frame of mind provides a long and healthy life as it strengthens the immune system. When a person is suffering from disease a positive thought brings faster recovery. Many patients have nothing wrong except their ingrained thoughts being unhealthy, necessitates reconditioning their mind by changing the pattern of their thoughts.

A great yogi Shri Paramhans Yoganand a great spiritual master of India who lived in the West over a long period of 30 years, was a man of spiritual vision. He initiated about hundred thousand students in Yoga, for their spiritual transformation and awakening the divine consciousness. while advocating the scientific explanation of healing he said "electricity and cosmic ray will be the future medicine of the world. And when we will scientifically advance still further, thought will be the medicine, as potentially million of volts of energy are right in your brain." With placebo effect(defined as a phenomenon in which some people experience a benefit after administration of an inactive "look alike"substance ) it has been possible to understand the mind-body connection. The mind produces endorphin in the brain to relieve pain This placebo effect has also aroused an expectation that's simply the words or attitude of a doctor can also induce the effect. What is in your mind is often quite literally or anatomically the same as in your body. Thought can influence mind body connection and impart well being.
The root cause of suffering lies in our own method of thought. Just choose positive thought in place of negative thoughts, the result will be miraculous.

Amalgamation of ancient wisdom of health and Wellness with the emerging modern medicare system is the need of the hour to provide holistic healing.

  1. I believe positive thinking means approaching life's challenges with a positive outlook. It does not necessarily mean avoiding or ignoring the bad things; instead, it involves making the most of the potentially bad situations, trying to see the best in other people, and viewing yourself and your abilities in a positive light. Superb article!
