Unfortunately, COVID-19 has become a pandemic and a lot of people have died. This catastrophic disease has harmed humanity and has created immense problems for the world. I would like to emphasise that modern science is dominated by the notion that infection is caused by an external agent. However, it is a fact that a disease cannot occur unless the host accepts it. The current concept is that the immune system plays a dominant role in the causation of a disease. Thus, the root cause of the disease is complex. Despite a large number of organisms surrounding us we rarely get diseases. Human body is a highly intelligent system that has an emotional stress plane varying in different individuals. Immunity is very vital to fight out diseases by an external agent. No doubt nutrition, exercise and optimistic attitude are vital to fight any disease.
In view of lack of any vaccine and drug against this virus it is necessary to prevent the spread of the virus.
Two very effective measures of quarantine and lockdown has already been taken. In order to fight out the disease I will suggest to utilise the natural healing power of sunlight and air.
In order to achieve the benefits,two very simple and powerful respiratory exercises are recommended to enhance energy and fighting power of the body
1.Simply focused awareness on breathing. You need not change the pattern of breathing but to focus on the air coming in and out through lungs,mouth and nose. It becomes form of meditation and is very effective to calm the body and mind.
2.Another simple form of breathing is-abdominal breathing where one may lie down on bed and feel the body inhaling and exhaling air. Place one hand over the abdomen and feel the rise of abdomen while inhaling and fall during exhaling.
Both these practices are very simple and can be done anytime.
The sunlight is another powerful source of energy and healing. We get solar energy from the sun which is vital for all living beings. We get vitamin D as we know which is important for bones, blood cell and immune system. 10-30 mins sunlight is quite enough. We are fortunate to have plenty of sunlight.
According to me, we should enjoy these two vital powers for a healthier life and they should be practiced daily. With the advent of modern lifestyle , we have forgot these valuable ancient life enhancing treasures.

DeleteFor well being during corona maintain social distance,washing hands with soap and using mask, eat healthy food,good sleep,exercise and take plenty of water. Avoid 24 hours media updates as it can make you more worried. Have a positive feeling with focus on present and enjoy every moment with family and reconsider traditional domestic role.
