Miraculous power of Mind.

Human body is a very complex and supreme creation of nature and mind power is one of the most useful powers you have. It has potential to create happiness or unhappiness, success or failure, opportunity or obstacles. The thought that comes to your mind are responsible for everything that happens to you.
The brain, the biological seat of intelligence,is an organ with hundred billion nerve cells called neurons. The research on biology of mind is progressing at tremendous pace. Medical science has not been able to understand more than 10%of the brain structure and its mechanism inspite of it's most sophisticated technological tools.
In its living state, the human body is said to be a miniature of the universe.
I was fortunate to have several occasions to have conversation with my most respected great teacher late padmashri Dr lala Surajnandan prasad a world renowned pediatrician. He was physically and mentally agile even in his nineties. I have learnt a lot from this great teacher to live a long happy and fruitful life. The most important lesson that I have learnt from him is regarding the miraculous power of mind. In this connection he told me about the amazing mind power of two greatest men of our country ,the one who brought freedom of the country (Mahatma Gandhi) and the other the greatest socialist leader of India, who was declared dead once but came back to life.
In this regard he mentioned his intimate conversation with late jay prakash Narain ji on the subject of "life afer death "and also as to how the "soul" which is immortal re-entered the mortal frame of Shri Narain on a command signal given by the brain which was still alive, although his heart had stopped.
In order to make this intimate conversation more perfect and clear, I am qoting it in his own words as written in his book entitled "How to live a fruitful 100 years "
It is as follows that-
"One night, Shri Jayaprakash Narayan asked me if I had ever seen my face without a looking glass. I was quick to answer as I said that I have not been privileged to see my face without a mirror but J.P immediately retorted that he had seen his face without looking glass.I asked him how it could have happened, he explained that one afternoon while he was lying ill in jaslok hospital, Bombay, he was declared dead as his heart had stopped beating. A nursing sister who was very alert made no delay in catching hold of Dr.Shah, the cardiologist of Jaslok Hospital, who was just entering the premises to take a round. Dr Shah rapidly entered the room where JP was lying on his bed without the heart beating. He quickly connected the defibrillator to the chest and the heart started beating again. As the heart started beating the soul of JP which had already left the mortal frame came back and JP experienced that he was living again. Prior to this J.P. experienced that he was going up and up overlooking his own body which was lying helpless on the sick bed in Jaslok Hospital. He was pleasantly surprised to see that his own body looked so helpless and that he was happily migrating upwards into infinity. This rare occurrence narrated to me by a leading personality of the world gave me an opportunity to think and to write what has happened exactly and what was the sequence of events. The soul when it left the mortal frame and when it was proceeding up and up into infinity, the brain lying in the helpless body of J.P was still alive as brain death does not occur concurrently with the stoppage of heart beat and so when the brain was alive it was in adequate position to send electronic waves practically commanding the soul to re-enter the body lying on bed. It was not possible to record an EEG just when the brain was issuing a command for the soul to come back as Dr Shah was very busy bringing J.P. back to life."
If ,however, this could be done in future in any similar situation it would certainly give valuable recording and information from the human brain.I am absolutely certain that in the case of J.P.the brain which was so powerful would have given us an opportunity to study what the tracings are like when people of the status of J.P.and Mahatma Gandhi landed in a situation when it was necessary to issue special ,and urgent commands to meet the situation.

" This analogy has been recorded here as one is reminded of the days of continuous fasting of Mahatma Gandhi when he was imprisoned in the Agha Khan palace in pune. After three weeks of fast the late Dr.B.C.Roy who was always by the bedside of the Father of the Nation told Gandhijee that he should break his fast as all the medical parameters were against him. Gandhi smiled and asked Dr Roy to enumerate those parameters about which he talked so much and attached so much and attached so much importance that he wanted him to break his fast. Dr.Roy stated that Gandhijee's face had become toxic as the lips were dry and the tongue was extremely coated. The blood pressure had also shot up and the urine examined that morning showed large quantity of albumin and acetone bodies"
" After hearing what Dr.Roy had to say, Gandhijee gave his decision when commanded Dr.Roy to proceed to Calcutta as he as he had left behind a large number of patients unattended. Dr.Roy was asked to clear the backlog of his work in ten days time and return to Gandhijee's bedside for further assessment. Gandhijee, however, was so confident that he told Dr.Roy that even if he returned after three weeks he would not find him dead. This is an example of how powerful the mind of Gandhijee was and how his brain was issuing commands dictating the different organs of the body to work in such a way that his life remained preserved."
The above two examples emanate from the life of the two great men of our country, the one who brought freedom to the country (Mahatma Gandhi)and the other who was declared dead once (Jai prakash Narain)but came back to life.
According to our holy books like Rig-Veda that the soul never dies and the body when it becomes helpless and when the heart stops beating ,the endless energy flow out in the form of a soul which goes up and merges with the infinity.
This is the process of termination of human life one could agree that just as the soul never dies so also the human body never dies as it transfers all its massivel energy in the form of what we call 'soul 'which has immense power to re-entenre either another body or alternatively merge with the infinity from where it had originated.

  1. Superb write up, giving the encouragement of positivity of mind and soul. I too had heard something like this about the control over his will power about my grandfather before his death. Great people exhibit their greatness through their actions.
